Artist Joan Vienot Debuts In Grayton Beach Florida-SUP Radio

Your Global Art Showcase with Claire Bannerman

Claire Bannerman and Joan Vienot

Claire Bannerman interviews Joan Vienot, who is preparing for her solo art exhibit at Grayt Gounds of Monet Monet in Grayton Beach, Florida.

After nearly 25 years of developing other businesses Joan Vienot has returned to her passion of producing art.  Like many people, Joan dedicated the first part of her adult life to paying the bills.  A local studio began offering weekly life drawing sessions about 4 years ago, and Joan, whose area of emphasis was life drawing when she earned her B.A. in fine art, found her Wednesday evenings booked for the next 3 years.  This year Joan shifted her focus to painting.

Vienot had been receiving email invitations from the Emerald Coast Plein Air Painters for 8 years, and had always said he had wanted to do that someday.  In early 2013 she contracted with a coach, Saramae Dalferes, who asked Joan pointed questions to help her debunk her excuses for not painting.  With no excuses left, Joan made the commitment to join them, and 7 months later was asked to present her work at Grayt Grounds of Monet Monet by owner Cheri Peebles and show coordinator Eileen West.  It will open November 2nd with a reception 5:00 to 8:00pm and extending through November 17, 2013.2013-0904 Grayt Grounds at Monet Monet
