Battle Of The Paddle Experience With John and Manya Clark~SUP Radio
Hey there this is Leslie Kolovich! Today I interview one of my favorite SUP Families John and Manya Clark from San Clemente California. John is also known as the Helmet Cam Man.
If you live in SoCal, attend any SUP event there, you know what I mean! He and his family actually put together a short film called the Summer of Sup that was nominated for this year’s SUP Awards through SUP Magazine. John talks about this red carpet event.
This family travels, paddles not only Stand Up Boards, but OC as well. Multi talented daughters Alleanna and Juliette paddle and are quite accomplished piano players as well. Anyway, you getting the picture of this family?
John and Manya describe their experience at this year’s BOP with a great accomplishment especially for Manya. She competed in the Elite race with her goal of finishing which she did! She also competed in the 10 mile race on a 19′ unlimited board which she took first place in her age category! Right on Girl! John talks about the Guiness World Record attempt at this year’s event with the most paddlers in a race, and the most paddlers to ride the same wave. He filmed the wave in 3 given attempts to the group. The record is now in the hands of those at Guiness, and we all are waiting the official results, but John says there was 200 people on a single wave that surely will be a record!
A Big Thank You Clark Family for sharing your stoke! Keep it up!
