Hey there welcome to a special follow up edition on the SUP Radio show.
Dave Cornthwaite from the United Kingdom whom I spoke with a few months ago is on his way to doing his 4th adventure of his Expedition1000 project.
He sets out Monday morning June 20th from Lake Itasca, Minnesota then into the headwaters of the Mississippi River. For 85 days he’ll be paddling a total distance of 2400 miles, that’s the near equivalent of New York to Los Angeles, London to Baghdad or Brisbane to Perth. He is doing this for two great causes, The AV Foundation working to improve infrastructure in sub Saharan African schools, and CoppaFeel to break down barriers and increase awareness about detecting breast cancer early.
Dave also is an Ambassador for the Blue Project, combining sport and travel to get people looking after themselves and the environments around them.
Enjoy the podcast as I speak to Dave just hours before his Mississippi River Sup Adventure! To learn more about Expedition 1000 you can visit www.davecornthwaite.com
